The good news? You can navigate these moments confidently by preparing a few short responses you can use. Here are some examples:

  • "I'm listening to my body and eating what feels good for me today."
  • "Thanks for your concern, but I'd prefer not to talk about my body right now."
  • "I'm glad you found an approach that works for you."
  • "I usually don't comment on other people's bodies."
  • "I've realized that listening to my body works better than following strict food rules."
  • "I've been learning a lot about intuitive eating, and it's been really helpful for me."
  • "That's interesting...so what new shows have you been watching lately?"
