🤔 Curious About Working Together? Start Here

Hi Reader,

If you’ve been following along for a while and feeling curious about nutrition counseling, you probably also have a few questions.

Starting something like this is a real investment of time and energy, and it makes sense to want a clearer picture before you even consider taking that step.

So today, I wanted to answer some of the questions I hear most often, and give you a better feel for what working together actually looks like.

What exactly is your nutrition counseling program?

I offer a 6-month, one-on-one counseling program where we meet by video twice a month, with ongoing messaging support in between.

This is not a meal plan or a short-term “reset.” It’s a supportive, non-diet space to work on your relationship with food, your body, and your health in a way that’s sustainable and grounded in real life.

Sessions often include topics like:

  • Building consistent, nourishing eating patterns
  • Untangling food rules and guilt
  • Making peace with specific foods
  • Supporting hunger and fullness awareness
  • Nervous system and self-care support
  • Gentle nutrition guidance
  • Understanding the deeper “why” behind patterns with food

Everyone's path looks a little different, but the foundation is always respect for your body and long-term change.

What’s included?

  • Two private video sessions per month
  • Messaging support between sessions
  • A personalized, evolving plan (not a rigid program)
  • Tools like hunger awareness, embodied self-care, and food relationship work
  • Optional additional sessions if you ever want extra support

Why is the program 6 months long?

Because real change with food rarely happens in a straight line.

Most people need time not only to learn new concepts, but to practice them through periods of:

  • Shifting motivation
  • Unavoidable resistance
  • Real-life stress
  • Holidays, travel, body changes, and emotional seasons

Six months gives us space to:

  • Build a strong foundation
  • Work through challenges when they arise
  • Personalize for your actual life patterns
  • And support lasting shifts, not just surface-level insights

Short-term wins can feel good, but longer-term work is what tends to actually change how you relate to food.

Can you help me lose weight?

My approach is not weight-loss centered, and I don’t offer intentional weight-loss programs.

What I do help with is:

  • Building nourishing, consistent eating patterns
  • Reducing chaos, guilt, and fear around food
  • Supporting health behaviors without punishment
  • Increasing trust, flexibility, and body awareness

Some people’s bodies change over time, some don’t. Our focus stays on behaviors, relationship, and well-being, not on controlling the scale.

What do clients usually get out of counseling?

While everyone’s journey is unique, clients often describe outcomes like:

  • Food feeling calmer and less consuming
  • Fewer cycles of restriction and overeating
  • More consistent, satisfying meals
  • Less guilt and second-guessing
  • Better understanding of their patterns
  • More trust in their body
  • A more grounded, sustainable way of caring for their health

What clients are saying:

"Stephanie's work goes far beyond traditional nutrition counseling. Rather than repeating information you can easily find online, she helps you understand the deeper reasons behind your relationship with food." - Erin R.

"Stephanie is warm, knowledgeable, and immediately put me at ease. She's fantastic at identifying patterns and offering gentle, supportive guidance to help shift them." - Anne K.

Who is this for?

This program resonates with people who:

  • Feel trapped in cycles with food
  • Are tired of dieting or “starting over”
  • Want health support without rigidity
  • Want something deeper than information
  • Are open to a gentle, long-term approach
